Let’s be honest, being a wedding photographer in North Wales is truly a privilege! From Mold to Caernafon, Portmeirion to Denbigh, Criccieth and Llithfaen, North Wales offers a wide array of beautiful and inspiring settings for your big day or, as it’s the case here, for your pre-wedding shoot!

06/04/2012 Amy and Graeme: Fun in the Anglesey Sun!

This year’s wedding season is well underway and that often means a spring of pre-wedding portrait photography for us! On the day of this portrait session we did by Penmon Lighthouse the sun was shining and the weather definitely gave an impression that summer was here! (As I am writing this, there is a snowman on my neighbours lawn..) We had a fantastic session and lots of fun and we cannot wait for their wedding in Plas Newydd, Beaumaris this autumn!

23/03/2012 Jo and Reinhardt: Love in Delamere Forest

When 2 people so in love with each other allow you to capture moments they share together, you realise what a privilege it is to be a portrait or wedding photographer.

I met Jo though the Chester Grosvenor for which we are the Prefered Photographer. Unfortunately, Celynnen Photography were unavailable for Reinhardt and Jo’s wedding at Combermere Abbey but it was an honour to do their pre-wedding shoot in Delamere Forest, a place close to Jo’s heart. It was lovely to get to know them more and witness how supportive they were of each other. I predict they will spend many, many happy years together.

22/03/2012 Emma and Chris’s Pre-wedding portraits in Manchester (not what you would expect!)

When people think about the industrial revolution, they don’t necessarily think of beautiful parks and peaceful walks, but that’s what we found when we visited Bridgewater Canal with Emma and Chris for their pre-wedding shoot! We met after being recommended by the Bron Eifion country House Hotel in Criccieth, a wedding venue in Snowdonia Celynnen Photography knows very well. Both a bit nervous about having their picture taken, I think they look rather good myself!

30/12/2011 Sandra and Amanda’s pre-wedding portraits in Delamere Forest

Sandra and Amanda are getting married at the beautiful Hargate Hall very soon and we cannot wait!! Like all our same-sex civil partnership clients, they made the most of our pre-wedding portrait offer! And as they have a lovely dog named Bramble (how cute is that name?!) we had him tag along too!!

Celynnen Photography have worked with same-sex couples since the very beginning and it’s always a great honour to be trusted for such a special ceremony. When I asked Sandra and Amanda why they chose us instead of a Gay wedding photographer, their answer is one that really touched me. They said that the important thing for them was to make sure that they felt comfortable with their photographer and that they didn’t feel judged, which is the same thing with all couples really. Picking your wedding photographer is not only about pictures and prices, it’s about making sure you know you will be able to feel at ease with the professional you’ve picked for fun and natural pictures!

By the way, another reason why it was such a privilege to work with these two is that through sheer determination and by changing life habits, Sandra (the one with the longer hair) dropped an amazing SIX DRESS SIZES in 11 months! I’ve seen her change so much since I’ve known her, it’s an honour to know someone with such determination and that is showing us that if you REALLY want it, you can do it..

She is one of the most inspirational people I know!

janis plas bodegroes 36 Before the big day: Janis and Paul at Plas BodegroesThough Celynnen Photography has built it’s reputation as a wedding photographer in Cheshire, 2011 seems to be all about wedding photography in Gwynedd! (Mostly) Maybe that I’ve been taking Welsh language lessons helped! Who knows!? But we’ve been having a great season this year in one of the most spectacular counties in the whole of the United Kingdom, capturing beautiful and intimate moments with for backdrop the sea, forests and Majestic mountains of Snowdonia!

This was the setting for Janis and Paul’s pre-wedding shoot and wedding! Plas Bodegroes, known locally as a fantastic restaurant as well as a gorgeous wedding venue is located just outside Pwllheli, a scenic town on the Llŷn Peninsula. I definitely recommend you visit it yourself. Until then, perhaps Janis and Paul’s pictures will inspire you!

storyboard007 The best things come to those who wait: Ian and Pams portraits in Albert Docks, LiverpoolLast Monday, we were at Handpicked Hotel’s Rhinefield house for Pam and Ian’s big day! (Yes, we’re a bit late with the blogging..).

It was a spectacular event where Pam and Ian were surrounded by the people that mean most to them and with the bride clearly enjoying the attention!

But as with all Celynnen Photography couples, they benefited from a Pre-Wedding shoot and they chose Liverpool, a place dear to Pam’s heart, and more precisely the Albert Docks as the location for it! We had a great day and it was so much fun to see Pam again! Last time we’d met was when we did Alun and Mel’s wedding in Portmeirion! She was so impressed with the results, she told Mel she had to have us for her special day!

This Saturday we will be with Frank and Vicky (and their gorgeous son Archie) for their wedding in Denbigh! I’m really excited, specially after the good time we had during this pre-wedding shoot! As you can see, they are clearly naturals! One of the first things you notice when you meet them is how much they care for each other and little Archie. There is definitely lots of love in that house and we are honored that they chose Celynnen Photography to capture their big day!

When I met Rachael and Olly, who are getting married at the Shrewsbury Cathedral, I instantly knew I was going to have a good time! Rachael’s enthusiasm is infectious and Olly is clearly rather fond of his bride to be! The combination make them a perfect match for Celynnen Photography! They chose Apley Hall as the place for their shoot, a lovely residence in Shropshire, old site to a school, with a lot of character, style and little hidden spots for a romantic shoot! 30/05/2011 Gemma and John’s day at the beach!

Some people are just made for the “Jet-Set” and this can be certainly said of this couple! First, Gemma and John met abroad and were separated for a few years by Gemma being in America! Now they are getting married in Portugal at the Sao Rafael Hotel where they will be joined by close friends and family and, of course, Celynnen Photography! Until then, you will probably see our glamorous bride-to-be on your way to Orlando, Vegas or any other of Virgin Atlantic‘s exciting trans-Atlantic flights! Luckily for us, we were able to find a spot in her busy schedule for a little fun in the sun on the lovely North Wales coast!
