Over time, Celynnen Photography had the privilege to do wedding photography in Montreal, Albufeira in Portugal and now with Penny and Adrian in Perth, Western Australia.
I’ve known Penny for 9 years as she is a good friend of Nicola who invited her to our wedding celebration at Llyndir Hall. We then got to work together on a boudoir shoot at the Grosvenor Pulford Hotel and Spa.
As she lived in Australia, we were all very curious when we heard reports that a good looking young man called Adrian had somewhat captured her attention at a Polocrosse meeting. As I photographed Penny’s cousin’s wedding at Theobald’s Park, I met the said young man and knew immediately it was a match made in heaven! (well…somewhere in Western Australia anyways..)
We photographer their pre-wedding shoot with them at Nunsmere Hall and it was a great occasion for us to get to know each other more! And when I was finally asked by Penny to do her wedding photography, I was over the moon, though the idea of travelling so far was a bit daunting. But when there, we immediately were able to see why they enjoyed being out there so much!
The wedding was a beautiful event and one that they organised perfectly (despite them having to share our cottage on the wedding night as they forgot to book a suite for themselves!) . We left knowing our friend was in very good hands indeed.
One thing you might notice from the pictures is the fact that Penny and Adrian saw each other BEFORE the ceremony. This tradition, very common custom in some parts of America is becoming more and more popular with couples in the UK as it allows for a wonderful and private moment before the ceremony itself. Another couple that did the same just 2 weeks before this wedding were Sandra and Amanda.
Thank you so much for sharing your day with us and we wish you many years of happiness, whether they be in Australia, in Quebec….or even maybe in the UK!
