Edwyn and Fflur came to us after hearing about Celynnen Photography through a friend and were a bit nervous about the pre-wedding shoot, like most people. But I think you can agree that they look rather good!

14/04/2012 Caroline and Ken at the Chester Grosvenor

We met Caroline and Ken after they were recommended to us by the Chester Grosvenor and we were delighted they chose Celynnen Photography to capture their wedding! Because their wedding was in December, it benefited from the beautiful Christmas decorations that add to the Grosvenor’s already magnificent decor. One thing which you will find from these pictures is that despite being taken indoors or outdoors in the dark…they are never actually dark pictures! Just one of the benefits of working with a professional photographer.

09/04/2012 Emma and Chris’s wedding day at Bron Eifion Country House Hotel!

Celynnen Photography love working at the Bron Eifion Country House Hotel so we were very excited when Chris and Emma asked us to be their wedding photographer! As with all our wedding clients, Emma and Chris benefited from a free pre-wedding portrait session. Having your picture taken can be a very daunting experience for most people, so the pre-wedding shoot really helps! This is where we will put you at ease and introduce you to some basic concepts that will make you look your best without even realising you are “posing”.

Then the wedding day came and it was a lovely sunny and to an extent, surprisingly warm! We had some good fun with some lively wedding guests and look forward to seeing them again in the future!

06/04/2012 Amy and Graeme: Fun in the Anglesey Sun!

This year’s wedding season is well underway and that often means a spring of pre-wedding portrait photography for us! On the day of this portrait session we did by Penmon Lighthouse the sun was shining and the weather definitely gave an impression that summer was here! (As I am writing this, there is a snowman on my neighbours lawn..) We had a fantastic session and lots of fun and we cannot wait for their wedding in Plas Newydd, Beaumaris this autumn!

We met Amy and Graeme at the Seiont Manor wedding fayre which is an event Celynnen Photography attend regularly because of the friendly atmosphere and fantastic staff. Hope to see you there at the next one!

23/03/2012 Jo and Reinhardt: Love in Delamere Forest

When 2 people so in love with each other allow you to capture moments they share together, you realise what a privilege it is to be a portrait or wedding photographer.

I met Jo though the Chester Grosvenor for which we are the Prefered Photographer. Unfortunately, Celynnen Photography were unavailable for Reinhardt and Jo’s wedding at Combermere Abbey but it was an honour to do their pre-wedding shoot in Delamere Forest, a place close to Jo’s heart. It was lovely to get to know them more and witness how supportive they were of each other. I predict they will spend many, many happy years together.

22/03/2012 Emma and Chris’s Pre-wedding portraits in Manchester (not what you would expect!)

When people think about the industrial revolution, they don’t necessarily think of beautiful parks and peaceful walks, but that’s what we found when we visited Bridgewater Canal with Emma and Chris for their pre-wedding shoot! We met after being recommended by the Bron Eifion country House Hotel in Criccieth, a wedding venue in Snowdonia Celynnen Photography knows very well. Both a bit nervous about having their picture taken, I think they look rather good myself!

20/03/2012 Andrew and Donna’s Wedding at The Walls in Oswestry, Shropshire

It was a beautiful day in Shropshire. I remember that the weather for the weekend had been forecast to be pretty bad, but it all held off in the end for Andrew and Donna’s wedding in Oswestry at The Walls restaurant. It was an emotional day but a lovely wedding with the bride and groom surrounded by friends and family. Though I don’t actually have many words for this one, I have many lovely souvenirs from meeting and working with this family which is why I like what I do so much!

04/03/2012 Ioan and Jasmine’s wedding at Seiont Manor

Here are pictures of Jasmine and Ioan’s wedding in Seiont Manor. All our weddings are unique and this one was the first wedding we’ve ever done that also had a Bahá’í ceremony! It was a most beautiful ceremony held outdoors with Snowdonia as a backdrop, fantastic readings and lots of singing! It was also the first time I worked with another Ioan which is another topic, but it was funny for me to say my name so many times in a day! PS: The bride and groom had the most fantastic wedding bands and I’ll let you know who did them as soon as I find out!

03/03/2012 Susie and Steven at the Holt Lodge Hotel, Wrexham

Remember Susie and Steven? We recently did their wedding at the Double Tree Hilton in Chester! Well here they are again! No, they didn’t get married again! They were simply participating in a bridal portraiture shoot! We were recently asked by the Holt Lodge Hotel to do some wedding photography to add to their gallery, brochure, etc and as always, we first start by asking Celynnen Photography brides if they would like a second chance at wearing their dress! So remember! Make sure you don’t get rid of your dress as you never know when you get the call to be our next bridal model!

But another reason why we will be working with the Holt Lodge Hotel quite a bit in the next few months is because they are undertaking a most spectacular transformation! It all started with their bridal suite of which you can catch a glimpse of here. The second phased involved a full refurbishment of the Garden Suite by interior designers Lister Carter, also known for their recent work at Chester’s Oddfellows. Part of me is tempted to put pictures of their new room too, but I’ll just hold back for a bit and tell you this instead:

If you are getting married in Wrexham, you need to visit the new Holt Lodge Hotel! You won’t believe your eyes!

06/01/2012 Anna and Neil’s big day at Willington Hall

I remember Anna and Neil’s wedding very well! As Doug, my trusty assistant, and I were driving towards the beautiful Crewe Hall, where Anna was getting ready, big clouds were moving into Cheshire! At first we were concerned, but very soon it turned into a gloriously sunny day! Anna was looking gorgeous from the start and the atmosphere during the preparations was really good fun and quite relaxed! Then we went to Neil’s where we found the groom and his men ready for the big day with a rather excited mother of the groom! She was quite obviously enjoying herself and very happy for her son.

Off we went to St-Mary’s Church in Sandbach where we had a small meeting with the Vicar (we always work with the officiants..) had a gorgeous ceremony and made the most of Willington Hall‘s beautiful grounds. If you agree, like me, that they make for a rather gorgeous couple, leave a comment saying so!
