Just 6 days before their wedding, Ex-Royal Marine Steve and Jo were a bit nervous about doing their pre-wedding shoot. In fact they were very nervous about having a photographer for their wedding!

They hired us once they saw the video of Helen and David at Thornton Hall so they knew what kind of work we did:

But as with many people they felt awkward about “posing”. So we didn’t pose them! At Celynnen Photography, we take pictures of you just the way you are. Not the way we think you should look like! Our pre-wedding sessions will make you feel at ease and will give us great insight in your personality as you will get to know more about us! See it like this: It’s just another great day out with the person you love…with someone to capture it!

The first time Aled and I spoke was via Twitter! This is becoming more and more common as people can not only be made aware that you exist, but also see a bit of your personality. We then all met at the Grosvenor Pulford, which is not only one of the hotels that recommends Celynnen Photography, but also where Aled and Heather will be celebrating with their wedding party!

As always, we always take our clients and friends on a little photoshoot so we can see what works best for the couple and so that they get used to my style. It allows us to turn up at the wedding not being total strangers and the couple have the confidence that I can take a picture! Well…hopefully!

There are some people you just get along with from the start. Let’s just say that I found Rochelle and Ian VERY easy to get along with So much so that Rochelle and I started our own cool gang! Ok..so there are only 3 people in it..but it’s a start!

After having a great day with Rochelle and Ian on a pre-wedding photography session on Talacre Beach a few months ago, the big day came quickly for what would be one of the most fun filled day of the summer!

It all started at the family home where there was a LOT of action! Rochelle had some gorgeous bridesmaids and the flower girls were fantastic and it was great to see them smile, getting ready for a very important day! Once at St Michaels Church, we had a chat with Revd. Wall who was so nice and allowed us to take pictures during the whole ceremony. This made a big difference to the souvenirs we were able to capture for Ian and Rochelle and I know they appreciated it! At Nutters in Rochdale, we were blessed by having the most wonderful light in a trully gorgeous setting! The views, the food, everything was amazing! But, of course, nothing could compare on the day with how the bride looked!

One of the great things on the day was how much laughter there was all around and I would like to wish, on behalf of Doug, Nickie and everyone at Celynnen Photography, lots and lots of happiness, love and laughter to the new Mr. and Mrs. Seddon, for many years to come!

I was really excited last year when Simon and Claire asked me to be their wedding photographer! I felt we got along well from the start (which is the most important thing to me when working with my wedding photography clients..) and, they live in Northern Ireland!  Now those who know me know I LOVE going to Northern Ireland.

First, their is my great friend Rosalyn who does FANTASTIC custom made jewelery and with who I enjoy walking along the coast and it also gave us an opportunity, again, to shoot a fun pre-wedding session. Pre-wedding photography is always done at a place of interest or a place that is important to the couple. In this case, the pre-wedding shoot was done on the beautiful beaches of Portstewart. More on that later.

But when it came to celebrating their wedding, they chose Gresford Church, a church close to Claire’s heart, being from Gresford herself.

From Gresford Church, the wedding party then went to Sweeney Hall in Shropshire, a beautiful venue and the food was great! (First hand experience!)

Excuse the lack of vocabulary here but Portmeirion is “DA BOMB”. It is my absolute favourite place in the whole of the UK! The beauty of the architecture, the philosophy behind the design of the village, it’s colours and it’s flora…if you have not been already, you need to visit Portmeirion!

Alun and Mel already had to and like so many couples who get married in Portmeirion, they decided to go for Celynnen Photography. Hopefully by looking at the images you’ll understand why, but if you were to ask me why you should ask Celynnen Photography to work with you on your big day, I’d say this:

Because we are as passionate about your wedding as you are. Remember Vikki and Kev? The big day finally came where they tied the knot at Carden Park Luxury Hotel, Golf Resort and Spa! Friends and family came from far and wide to celebrate and we were truly  honoured to have been there!

One of the highlights for me was a very special speech on the day which will definitely be in the running for our end of year awards!

You would think that with such a grand name and beautiful setting that Carden Park would be an expensive and exclusive place. Quite the contrary! The staff as usual were so welcoming to both the wedding party and myself! This has been my experience with Carden Park for over 3 years now, having worked with them at various fayres, weddings and most recently, providing them photography for their newly refurbished Carden Business Suite (a blog post on that’s coming soon!)

The bride and her bridal party all looked great and being able to use all of Carden Park’s fantastic ground helped us create a series of fun pictures!

So if you are looking for a wedding venue in Cheshire for 2011 or 2012 and want some wedding photography on the day in all sorts of different settings, think about Carden Park and Celynnen Photography!

Celynnen Photography have had the chance to work with many fantastic Bed and Breakfast and Self-Catering venues in the past years, but it’s not often that we get to experience them ourselves!

Until, that is, we were invited by Sarah, the wonderful hostess of Brook Farm in Berrington! Straddling the Shropshire, Herefordshire and Worcestershire borders, this little gorgeous B&B offers you not only the hospitality and the great food that’s made the region a must-see area for all of us foodies but it goes the extra mile with it’s highly recommended evening platters. I still fondly remember the evening passed with my wife, enjoying the gorgeous selection of food and easily the best cider I’ve tasted in this fine land as we were sat by the fire. Breakfast was the much loved full English Breakfast, but beautifully presented with, and it needs to be mentioned again, QUALITY ingredients and in a beautiful room offering a peaceful view outdoors.

I can’t wait to be back and I hope you get to experience it too!
